3K - Third Grade
I have taught my entire career at this incredible school! I believe God guided me here many years ago and that this is my calling. I enjoy watching the kids grow and learn daily. The moment when the light bulb goes off is such a rewarding and special feeling! Getting to know each child and their families personally and in depth in a small school is a special bonus.
I have a husband Jay, three children Jake is an Engineer in Milwaukee, Luke is an Electrician apprentice in Appleton, and Brenna is a freshman at UW-Stout majoring in Environmental science. I have 5 chickens I incubated in my classroom 3 years ago and of course our class Bearded Dragon, Sanford. I enjoy reading, walking and cooking.
The small classes and family atmosphere at St. Mary School are some of the reasons I have chosen to have my entire teaching career here. It has been a joy and a privilege to get to know so many wonderful families personally over the years! I am truly blessed!
I am a mama of two boys, Micah and Owen and proud Mimi (grandma) of two little ones, River and Maylee. We have a funny dog named Mr. Beans who keeps us smiling! Llamas, Q-tips and prunes are a few of my favorite things. I believe food and laughter are two of the best medicines! My Dad is my hero :-)
I love teaching because I am genuinely in awe of a child's natural curiosity, sense of humor, and enthusiasm for the smallest of things. Their innate ability to want to learn more is inspiring to me. I strive for the long-winded stories, teachable moments and seeing the "ah ha" expressions.
I have been teaching at St. Mary School since 2006. In 2002, I graduated from Alverno College with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary/Early childhood education. I also earned my Master's degree in literacy with an emphasis on elementary education from Grand Canyon University in 2021.

I live in West Bend with my husband, Pat, and our six kids. They keep us very busy and are our pride and joy! We also have a cute dog. She is a German Shorthair named Hayden. In my spare time, I love to play the piano, take pictures, and watch sports with my family.
My name is Kelsey Lemens and this is my fourth year teaching at St. Mary’s School. I am originally from Horicon and now I live in West Bend. I lived in California for 4 years and Hawaii for a year before moving back to Wisconsin. I have a wonderful husband and two daughters.
I have taught 8th Grade, Pre-K, 4th Grade, 2nd Grade, and a combined 1st and 2nd Grade Class. I love my current position here at St. Mary’s because our school is truly like a family to me. In my free time, I like to travel and go hiking with my family. I love reading and exploring new places.
