Can & newspaper drives
Help sort and load bags of aluminum cans and newspapers when the bins and trailer fill up. A few hands make it quick — and it raises real money for the school.
More on Support UsSupport Us
Our school runs on the love of volunteers — parents, grandparents, parishioners, and friends who give an hour here and there to make a big difference. Tell us what you love to do, and we'll find the right fit for you.

Ways to help
Whether you have an hour a month or a morning a week, there's a place for you here. These are the areas where volunteers make the biggest difference at St. Mary.
Listen to students read, help with sight words, or read a story aloud. A favorite way to spend a spare morning.
Support teachers with prep, projects, centers, or special activities. Great for parents with a free hour during the day.
Set up, serve, or clean up at the Golf Outing, fish fry, book fair, Christmas program, and other school events.
Ride along and help supervise on class trips. A fun way to see the kids in action beyond the classroom.
Help serve hot lunch, prep treats for a class party, or stock the snack shelf. Quick shifts, big smiles.
Copy, sort, count box tops, or help with mailings. Perfect if you'd rather help without being front-and-center.
Ready to help?
Call or email the school office and tell us where you'd like to pitch in. We'll match you with the right opportunity — no commitment yet, just a conversation.
Year-round helping hands
A few volunteer needs come back around all year. These are great options if you want something steady or low-commitment.

Good to know
St. Mary Catholic School is committed to the safety of every child. In accordance with the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, all employees and volunteers who work with children complete Safe Environment (VIRTUS) training and background screening.
Please sign up ahead so we can plan and prepare — drop-ins are welcome at events but harder to place in classrooms.
An hour a month counts. We'll match the role to the time you have — no need to over-commit.
Volunteering is more fun together. Grandparents, friends, and alumni are all welcome to join you.
Questions
Not at all. Most volunteer roles need only a willing heart and a little time — we'll show you what to do. If a role calls for a specific skill, we'll let you know up front.
Thank you
Volunteers are part of what makes St. Mary feel like family. Thank you for considering sharing your time with our students — we can't wait to welcome you.
